उत्तर प्रदेश के सहारनपुर के रहने वाले लव अग्रवाल आंध्र प्रदेश काडर के आईएएस अफसर हैं। लव अग्रवाल जी के परिवार का संबंध उत्तर प्रदेश के सहारनपुर से है। अग्रवाल जी के पिता जाने-माने सीए हैं और इनका नाम के जी अग्रवाल है। लव अग्रवाल जी के पिता दिल्ली के एक ग्रीन पार्क नामक कॉलोनी में रहते हैंवह आईआइटियन भी हैं। आईआईटी-दिल्ली से 1993 में मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग करने के बाद लव ने बाद में सिविल सर्विसेज परीक्षा पास की।1996 में आयोजित आईएएस की परीक्षा में अग्रवाल जी ने सफलतापूर्वक उतीर्ण किया था। उन्होंने यूपीएससी की परीक्षा को पूरे देश भर में 21वें स्थान से पास किया था. 1996 में उन्हें आंध्र प्रदेश काडर मिला। आंध्र प्रदेश में माध्यमिक शिक्षा विभाग के वह निदेशक रहे। उन्होंने वहां शिक्षा के साथ स्वास्थ्य के क्षेत्र में भी काम किया। वह आंध्र प्रदेश में स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण विभाग के आयुक्त भी रहे।शिक्षा और स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्र में लीक से हटकर चलाई गई कई योजनाओं से कारण लव अग्रवाल सुर्खियों में रहे। वर्ष 2016 के बाद लव अग्रवाल को लगा कि केंद्र सरकार में काम करना चाहिए। उन्होंने प्रतिनियुक्ति मांग ली। अच्छा ट्रैक रिकॉर्ड रहा है, इसलिए प्रतिनियुक्ति का रास्ता साफ हुआ और मोदी सरकार ने उन्हें 28 अगस्त, 2016 को स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय में संयुक्त सचिव (जेएस) बनाया। इस पद पर उनकी नियुक्ति पांच साल के लिए हुई है। यानी वह 2021 तक इस पद की जिम्मेदारी निभा सकते हैं। 46 वर्षीय लव अग्रवाल के जिम्मे स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय में ग्लोबल हेल्थ, मेंटल हेल्थ, टेक्नोलॉजी, पब्लिक पॉलिसी की जिम्मेदारी है। लव लीक से हटकर काम करने और योजनाओं को सही तरीके से जनता के बीच ले जाने में रुचि लेते हैं। मोदी सरकार उन्हें कई अंतरार्ष्ट्रीय मंचों पर भारत का पक्ष रखने का मौका दे चुकी है। वह विश्व स्वास्थ्य की दिशा में अंतरार्ष्ट्रीय स्तर के कई मंचों पर भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व कर चुके हैं। लव अग्रवाल ने इस साल जनवरी में जी20 देशों के हेल्थ वर्किंग ग्रुप के सम्मेलन में मोदी सरकार की आयुष्मान भारत योजना का प्रजेंटेशन दिया था। लव जी20 देशों के लिए डिजिटल हेल्थ टास्क फोर्स बनाने की भी वकालत कर चुके हैं।मंत्रालय सूत्रों का कहना है कि स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्र में कई देशों के साथ सहयोग और करार करने में भी लव अग्रवाल अहम भूमिका निभा चुके हैं। पिछले साल उन्होंने स्वास्थ्य सचिव डॉ. प्रीति सूदन के साथ ‘यूएस इंडिया हेल्थ डॉयलाग’ में भी शामिल रहे।

28 अगस्त वर्ष 2016 को भारत सरकार द्वारा अग्रवाल जी के अच्छे रिकॉर्ड को देखते हुए उन्हें स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय में संयुक्त सचिव के रूप में कार्यभार सौंपा गया। आज के समय में लव अग्रवाल जी अपने कार्य को बहुत ही कुशलता पूर्वक एवं कर्तव्य पूर्ण तरीके से निभाते हुए नजर आ रहे हैं. इस पद पर उनकी नियुक्ति 5 वर्षों के लिए हुई है और यह उम्मीद है, कि वर्ष 2021 तक स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय का कार्यभार निरंतर रूप से संचालित करते रहेंगे. इसके अतिरिक्त उन्होंने कई बड़े क्षेत्रों में अपना योगदान दिया हुआ है, जो इस प्रकार निम्नलिखित है.

Lav Agarwal Update About Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Joint secretary in the ministry Lav Agarwal on Saturday announced that 149 new Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, including two deaths, have been reported since Friday.

According to him, Combined efforts are on to ensure 100 per cent lockdown and that social distancing gets implemented, he said at a press briefing on the current COVID-19 situation in India.

The number of coronavirus cases climbed to 918 in India on Saturday, while the death toll remained at 19, according to the ministry

The government is working with states on health infrastructure preparedness and the focus is on having dedicated COVID-19 hospitals and blocks in every state, Agarwal said.
