HINDI TRANSLATION OF THE POEM .

I’m handicapped …… and never sigh .

Word meaning : Handicapped ( adp हैन्डीकैप्ड ] = अपंग । Wheelchair ( n ) [ व्हीलचेअर ] = पहियों वाली कुर्सी जो अमूमन अपंगों अथवा मरीजों के लिए उपयोग में आती है । Bound ( adj ) [ बाउन्ड ] = घिरा या घेरा हुआ । Saintly ( adv ) [ सेन्टली ) = साधु समान । Sigh ( v ) [ साई ) = कराहना , दीर्घ श्वांस लेना जैसा दु : ख में कोई करता है ।

हिन्दी अनुवाद –
मैं हूँ एक अपंग , अपने पहिएदार कुर्सी में स्थित
बिना आवाज के खामोशी से बैठे रहने की
मुझसे आशा की जाती है ।
और आशा की जाती है मुझसे कि
सिर्फ मुस्कुराऊ और बाकी दुनिया को
अपनी रफ्तार से जाने दूँ ।
उनसे कोई वास्ता रखे बिना , साधुई पैर्य से ,
और कभी अपनी इस स्थिति पर दुःख भी न जताऊँ ।

Word meaning : Thought ( n ) [ थॉट ] = विचार । Idea ( m ) [ आइडिया ] = विचार , कल्पना । Strange ( adj ) [ स्ट्रॅज ] = विचित्र । Bother ( v ) [ चॉदर ] = परवाह करना ।

हिन्दी अनुवाद —
दिमाग में मेरे विचार आते – जाते रहते हैं ,
वे विचार किसी तक कहीं पहुंचना चाहते हैं ।
मेरे ओठों से होते दूसरे व्यक्ति ( यों ) तक
किन्तु लोग अजीब लगते हैं मुझे जो कि
मेरी तनिक भी परवाह नहीं करते ।

Word meaning : Perform ( v ) [ परफार्म ] = क्रियान्वित ( कार्य ) करना । Igno rance ( m ) [ इग्नोरेन्स ] = अज्ञानता , अनभिज्ञता ।

हिन्दी अनुवाद —
मेरी जीभ , मेरे ओंठ तक मेरा साथ नहीं देते
साधारण – सा काम भी मैं कर नहीं पाता
लेकिन एक दिमाग है पास मेरे
और यह साबित करता है कि मैं हूँ यहाँ पर
मुझे अपनी उपेक्षा का शिकार मत बनाओ ।

Word meaning : Though ( adv ) [ दो ] = यद्यपि । Include ( v ) [ इन्क्लूड ] = शामिल करना । Share ( v ) [ शेयर ] = बाँटना ।

हिन्दी अनुवाद–
मुझसे बातें करो भले मैं समझ न पाऊँ
मुझे छुओ , मेरे हाथ पकड़ो
शामिल करो मुझे भी अपने जीवन में
मुझे भी इस जीवन में शामिल होने का
हक दे दो , जो कि मुझे ( जीवन ) दिया गया है ।

Summary :
The Outsider ‘ it is a compassionate poem . The poem arouse pity in us for a handicapped person . The speaker of this poem is a handicapped person bounded to his wheel chair . Though his limbs not work , his mind and idea and thought exist . And he wants to be touch , in friendly contact to other persons of the world . But the other people ignore him totally . This hurts the handicapped person badly and he sight . He sight to the world and he sight himself .

सारांश –
‘ द आउटसाइडर ‘ ( बाहरी व्यक्ति ) एक कारुणिक कविता है । प्रस्तुत कविता हमारे अन्तस ( हृदय ) में एक अपंग व्यक्ति के प्रति करुणा जगाती है । कविता का वक्ता एक अपंग है जो अपने पहिएदार कुर्सी तक मात्र सीमित है । यद्यपि उसके अंग कार्य नहीं करते , उसका दिमाग , उसके विचार और कल्पनाएँ जीवित हैं और वह दुनिया के अन्य लोगों के सम्पर्क में रहना चाहता है , दूसरों से निम्नवत व्यवहार करना चाहता है । उपेक्षित कर दिया है । यह बात उस अपंग व्यक्ति को पीड़ा पहुँचाती है । बुरी तरह से और वह कराहता है — दुनिया पर और अपने स्वयं के लिए ।

How are the physically or visually challenged persons similar or dis similar to the normal people ? Discuss the differences and similarities .

Ans .
Raj–The physically or visually persons are similar to us . They are also human beings .
Preeti : Yes , they also live and have right to be in familiar touch to the other people .
Anu : I think they are different to us . Rather dissimilar to us . They have their own world . They can only think but not execute them .
Q. How are these persons generally viwed / treated by the people ?
Ans . Generally these persons are ignored by the people as outsiders .

Life of a disabled person is miserable . They suffer from their parts of body . Someone is handicapped by leg , some by hands , some by other parts of the body . They have to face many problems in their day – to – day life . Thy need our emotional support and love . But people treat them as outsiders and ignore them . The responsibility of the society towards them is to accomodate them with the rest part of the world means to the other people .

G. TRANSLATION .

Translate into English :

कल मेरे साथ एक अद्भुत घटना घटी । मैं दफ्तर से लौट रहा था । अपनी बिल्डिंग में पहुँचते ही अँधेरा हो गया । जेनरेटर और लिफ्ट भी काम नहीं कर रहे थे । मैं अँधेरे में किसी तरह से सौढ़ी तक पहुँचा । पहली सीढ़ी पर पैर रखने की कोशिश की , मैं गिर पड़ा । तभी किसी ने मुझे हाथ पकड़कर उठाया । वह अनजान व्यक्ति मुझे सीढ़ियों से हाथ पकड़कर ऊपर ले गया । आठवीं मंजिल पर मेरे फ्लैट के दरवाजे पर पहुंचकर मैंने उसे बारम्बार धन्यवाद दिया । तभी बिजली वापस आ गई । मैंने अपने अनजान मित्र को देखा । वह अंधा था । एक अंधे ने मुझे राह दिखाई थी ।

Ans . I strange thing happened to me yesterday . I was back from my office . Reaching to my building the light went off . The generator and the lift were also not working . I anyhow reached to the stairs in the darkness . Trying to keep my foot on the first stair , I fell down . Then only , someone holded my hand and lifted me . That person , unknown to me , holded my hand and took me up the stairs . On the eight floor , before my flat , I thanked him with my reaching to my float . Suddenly , the light came back . I looked to my unknow friend . He was blind . A blind person had showed me the way .

( i ) Yes , one of my friends has limited eyesight .
( ii ) Yes , they are – Surdas , Ravindra Jain , Braille , Hellen Keller etc.
( iii ) In India , the unnourished dishes are the main cause of physical dis ability . Falling sick to a severe instrict also cause this in some regard .
( iv ) People without eyesight can sing a song , play music , write and read from the help of Braille system .
( v ) People without eyesight can generally do creative work .
( vi ) My school has separate and comfortable seats for the disable .
